I was looking through some of my photos this morning and came across this little gem: Swim Every Ocean. Simple yet profound. And what an awesome bucket list idea! I mean, there are only five oceans in the world, so it’s totally doable, right?
This started me on a walk down memory lane via my photos of travels past, as I revisited a few of my favorite bodies of water that I’ve had the privilege to experience. Among the top of my list are the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, the Gulf of Aqaba, the Dead Sea (not really a sea but a salt lake) and the Red Sea.
Of the five oceans on the planet, I’ve splashed around in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean (technically). Though I don’t see myself literally splashing around in the Arctic Ocean or Southern Ocean (Antarctic) ever, I would like to see and touch them for myself one day.
A girl can dream!
P.S. The above photo was taken from one of the 365 beautiful beaches in Antigua in the West Indies. Talk about a good swim, that’s one of the best places ever. Just look at that aquamarine water. It’s so warm and inviting. Sigh.
So what about you? How many oceans have you taken a swim in? What are your other favorite bodies of water, fresh or salt? I want to know! Give me some more places to add to my bucket list…
